Miss Kokeshi Doll

Love this colaboration with LaNae of 2tatteredtulips on Ebay!

I really love these little gingers! Rather it be pink or traditional Christmas colors of green and red, They seem to be a hit on Etsy.
It's funny, I listed the pink set on Ebay , 3 times with no bids at all. As soon I put it on Etsy it sold and I even got an order for the red and green set.
Go figure!

Russian Nestling Doll

I Just listed this beautiful set . If you love Russian Nestling dolls then you don't want to miss out on this listing

Russian wooden dolls within smaller dolls were called matryoshka. In old Russian among peasants the name Matryona or Matriosha was a very popular female name. Scholars says this name has a Latin root "mater" and means "Mother". This name was associated with the image of a mother of a big peasant family who was very healthy and had a portly figure.
Subsequently, it became a symbolic name and was used specially to image brightly painted wooden figurines made in such a way that they could taken apart to reveal smaller dolls fitting inside one another.
